The 2024 Conference on Research Careers, organized by the European Commission, started today with a focus on ensuring sustainable and attractive careers for researchers across Europe. The emphasis is on the crucial role of researchers in strengthening the competitiveness and prosperity of the European Union. Key topics include improving employability, ensuring stable salaries and pension schemes, as well as creating opportunities for skill development and transitions between sectors.
The conference also addresses the importance of healthier working environments and the modernization of research management. This initiative is part of the goals of the European Research Area, which aims to make research careers rewarding without sacrificing stability, in order to strengthen Europe’s global competitiveness in research and innovation.
Our University is participating as a member of the Euraxess network and holder of the HRS4R charter.
